Bangkok, City of Angels

Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, Bangkok (or so called 'Krung Thep' by locals), is a thrilling paradox. This Thai capital at the same time preserve the old heritage open to welcome new things with full enthusiasm.
After becoming the capital for more than two centuries, Bangkok in the last 20 years has seen many changes. Skyscrapers forming the new city skyline, skytrain rapid dividing the city by train, and subway is also ready to take people on the move.
Options for shopping, dining and entertainment are also growing, ranging from the typical to the art of dance and musical treats tradsional, to the international entertainment.
Here, a few sights you should see:
a) Temple and Cultural Center
There are more than 400 temples in the Thai capital this. The famous among other things:
- Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo
Represents the Emerald Buddha, and the palace of the King. Open daily from 8.30 am until 3.30 pm. 200 Baht admission, including admission to Vimanmek Mansion and the Coin Pavilion. For this location, visitors should wear decent clothes and must wear shoes (including women).
- Wat Mahathat
Known as the Temple of the Great Relics, located opposite Wat Phra Kaeo. For those interested in studying Buddhist meditation can be learned here, because there is a meditation lessons in English.
- Vimanmek Mansion
Is the largest teak building in the world, built in 1901 by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Storing treasures and priceless collections of 19th and early 20th, along with crafts such as museums nielloware, Thai silk with various unique designs, and miscellaneous jewelry. Open every day from 9:30 to 3:15 pm, and displays of traditional dances at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Entrance is 50 baht. Expected to wear decent clothes.
- Wat Pho
Near the Grand Palace, there are temples built in the year 1688 as the Reclining Buddha. This gold-plated statue 46 meters long and 15 meters tall, while the eyes and legs are covered with pearl. That is recalled when the Buddha entered Nirvana. Previously, Wat Pho is a common occupation of the first places in the Kingdom of Siam, and until now there is still a traditional Thai massage education that is very famous there. Open daily 8 am until 5 pm, entrance fee 20 baht. Expected to wear decent clothes.
- Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
One of Bangkok's famous emblem was located on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, and reflect light very beautiful because porcelain coated.
b) Some other interesting places:
- Erawan Shrine
In the corner of Ratchadamri and Phloen Chit road, there is the statue of the god cult of the famous four-face magic. Many special group of tourists came from Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore to conduct prayers here.
- Jim Thompson House
Very famous for its collection of beautiful Thai silk and complete. The museum is located in Soi Kasemsan head 2 in Road Rama I. Entrance is 100 Baht and is open from Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm. The stores are also located in major malls.
- Travel on the river Chao Phraya
Along the Chao Phraya River, there are outposts dismissal. Tickets are sold at your hotel, or you can buy my own in the post dismissal. For tourists, it is advisable to buy tickets are valid all day. One is right beside the post terujung dismissal of the BTS Skytrain at Saphan Taksin. There is also a boat for tourists, complete with guides. You can stop at various points of interest, such as Wat Arun, Golden Palace (heading Maharaja Pier), Chinatown, and so forth.

- Dusit Zoo
The zoo is located on Rama V Road, Dusit area, near the Royal Plaza. Has a collection of animals of Asia and Africa and has a special section of children. Suitable for relaxing with family. Open every harijam 9 till 6 pm. Entrance is 30 Baht for adults, 10 baht for children.
