Jalan Petaling or better known as Petaling Street is the center of Chinese merchandise (Chinatown), Kuala Lumpur which perpetuate the atmosphere a lot of tradition especially at night when vendors spread their merchandise goods for sale along the road.

You can get all sorts of stuff that smells of ethnic Chinese in this place and also a lot of merchandise / souvenir / gift that can be bought here at a price cheap enough (you must be smart to bid on condition). This road will be filled with vendors such as Chinatown in Singapore or Glodok in Jakarta.

Petaling Street is the best place to find the branded goods are fake (counterfeit) and also a great place to find Chinese food a food. There are still many other items can be found here ranging from pearl, t-shirts, toys and other accessories.

Outside the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple there are stores selling kalungan Jasmin scented flowers. The smell was mingled with the smell of the wind from shops across the street, including traditional Chinese herbal medicine smell and the coffee water.

Be careful with the pickpockets and snatcher if you are in the middle of the crowd.

Tips

If you wish, you can visit the temple and the store which opened at noon. But the best time to try the food and buy souvenirs here is at night.

Transportation
Jalan Petaling is located opposite the complex with the sale and purchase Kotaraya and Art Market. You can visit this place on foot or by taxi. Art Market Station passed PUTRA LRT is located at the end of the beginning of Jalan Petaling.
